  • Failing to Appear Is a Crime¬† Showing up for court dates in a criminal matter is critically important. If you don't show up, the court will likely issue a bench warrant for your arrest. More than that, the judge may find you in contempt of court, which only adds to the charges you already face. Even worse, failure to appear is considered a separate crime in Las Vegas and across the state. NRS 199.335 explains what kinds of consequences you may face if you fail to appear for any of your criminal court dates.
