  • Driving Under the Influence Laws that govern the operation of motor vehicles in Nevada contain “implied consent” declarations. This means that operating a motor vehicle within the state automatically gives police permission to conduct urine, breath or blood tests for alcohol content. Refusing to submit to these tests can result in penalties, including the suspension of your driver’s license. A breath or blood test result of .08 or greater indicates that a motorist is driving under the influence (DUI). A blood test is the most accurate way to measure alcohol content, but there are factors that can affect the results.
